Honda Recall – Airbag Malfunctions Digital News Report

– A rickety condition with driver’s side airbags has prompted Honda Motor Firm to recall an additional 378,758 vehicles in the U.S. The airbags can deploy with too much apply pressure on causing “injury or fatality”, according to the car maker.

They have known about this problem already and have recalled models they knew were pretentious. This February 9th recall expands the original recall in November, 2008. The partnership acknowledges 12 incidents related to this problem. They are unmindful of any problems since July 2009 but can’t be certain the airbags will carry out as designed.

“Therefore, we have decided to add certain 2001 and 2002 Mutual understanding, Civic, Odyssey, CR-V, and selected 2002 Acura TL vehicles to this nullify,” the company said in a statement.

The company will be notifying their customers this month by despatch. After customers receive the notice, they are asked to bring their car in for professional care. Customers can call (800) 382-2238 for more details and to see if they need to bring their car in to a businessman.
